Building Nexa Smart Contracts

Nexa smart contracts let you set the rules that release coins, so funds move only when the conditions you define are met: a signature, a block height, a token authority. Contracts run natively on Nexa's UTXO chain, with no gas fees and no separate virtual machine to learn. The sections below cover the languages and tools you use to write, test and deploy them.

Nexa Programming Language (NPL)

NPL is a Kotlin domain-specific language for smart contracts on Nexa. The library offers an internal compiler as well as internal support for testing on Nexa's virtual machine, NexaScriptMachineKotlin.

NexScript

NexScript is a high-level programming language for smart contracts on Nexa. It offers a strong abstraction layer over Nexa's native virtual machine, Nexa Script.
